The working agreement.

Bookings & deposits
Submitting the booking form is a request, not a confirmed booking. PicsByJC reviews each request against the calendar and approves or declines it. A date is reserved only once your deposit is received. The remaining balance is due on the day of the event, payable in cash unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Payments
Deposits can be paid by the methods shown at checkout (such as Zelle or Venmo, with card payment where available). Zelle and Venmo payments are matched using the reference code we give you — please include it in the payment note. Album orders are paid in full at the time of ordering.
Cancellations & rescheduling
Deposits hold your date and are non-refundable once the date is confirmed, since we turn away other work for it. If you need to reschedule, tell us as early as possible and we’ll do our best to move your deposit to a new date, subject to availability.
Delivery
Edited photos are delivered through a private online gallery. Delivery timelines vary by event type and will be communicated at booking. Online galleries remain available for six months — see the gallery retention terms for what that means and how to keep your photos forever.
Albums
Album orders designed by PicsByJC are crafted with third-party fine-art labs. Because albums are custom-made from your selections, they can’t be cancelled once sent to the lab. You’ll approve a design proof before anything prints. If you choose the self-serve “make it myself” option, the book partner we link to is a recommendation only — your order, payment, shipping, and support for that book are handled directly by that company, not PicsByJC.
Copyright & usage
PicsByJC retains copyright in the photographs. You receive a personal-use license to download, print, and share your delivered images. By booking PicsByJC, you agree that we may feature your delivered photos in our public portfolio and marketing — including this website and our social media — as part of the contract. If you’d prefer your photos stay private, tell us in writing before your event and we’ll honor it.
Insurance & venues
PicsByJC carries general liability insurance and can issue a Certificate of Insurance (COI) to your venue on request — mention it in your booking notes.
